Kokuyo Binder for impactful articles

Kokuyo Binder for impactful articles

The Japanese brand Kokuyo is notoriously hard to get here in Europe, and I feel very stupid for not having picked up some Campus notebooks while I was in Japan two years ago.

Luckily, when I was in Vienna in June earlier this year, there was a cute shop that stocked some Kokuyo! (View the shop, Sous-Bois on Google Maps)

That's where I saw this GOOD TOOLS binder. It stays closed when it is closed, and it lays open flat when it is open. This sounds stupidly basic as a requirement, but so many binders don't behave well!

I had an idea on how to use this binder: to store printed versions of articles that made a lasting impact on me. I want to scribble in the margins, and use a highlighter for the best sentences; I want to touch the articles.

As with a lot of my ideas, it took awhile before I started putting it into practice, but it has finally happened!

We don't own a printer any more because honestly, they are the worst machines ever created as they never work, so I had to print out an article in the library. Oliver assisted me in this process, as he had fought this noble fight before, and with just a small hick-up I printed out my first article for analogue storage in my Kokuyo binder!

The honour goes to: Learning to Work, an essay from 1977 by Virginia Valian. I found it via Mandy Brown's website, which is an absolute treasure trove.

The binder as seen from the front. It's slightly transparent.
it comes with a few sheets of B5 sizes paper.
it even has a pocket in the back
